About the firm
The people behind the advice.
An energy and electrical advisory practice based in Lewes, Delaware — serving facilities across Delaware, southern New Jersey and the Philadelphia metro.
Our story
Measure first. Advise second. Sell nothing.
Best Energy Advisor started with a straightforward idea: the people who pay the energy bills deserve the same rigor they'd get from any other advisor — a lawyer, an actuary, a financial planner.
We audit the way engineers audit: measure, verify, document. We advise the way a good consultant advises: clearly, and with nothing to sell you. Our team combines energy engineering, electrical design and utility-program experience — we've spent our careers on the supply side, the demand side and the middle, so we know what a rate schedule really means, what a switchgear study actually takes, and which rebate paperwork gets approved the first time.
What we are — and what we aren't
Best Energy Advisor is an advisory and consulting firm. We are not a utility, electric cooperative, power supplier or installation contractor. We do not generate, transmit or supply electricity, and we do not perform construction or installation work. Where implementation is required, we help you scope it and coordinate with licensed contractors and engineers of your choosing. Our only revenue is professional fees — which is why our recommendations stay clean.
How we work
Three rules we don't break
RULE 01
Evidence over opinion
Every recommendation we make traces back to a measurement, a bill, or a published standard. If we can't back a number, we say so — and we'd rather show you a range than a fake decimal.
RULE 02
Plain language
You shouldn't need a power engineering degree to understand why we're recommending something. Our reports are written for the decision-maker, with the engineering details one appendix away.
RULE 03
Nothing to sell
We earn fixed professional fees. We take no equipment margins, no vendor commissions and no referral money. That's what keeps "don't do it" an acceptable recommendation.
Credentials behind the advice
Our advisors hold the certifications that matter when a recommendation lands in front of a board, a lender or a utility interconnection office:
Where we work
Delaware and the three-state corridor
We're based on the Delaware coast and work across New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties, southern New Jersey, and the Philadelphia metro and southeastern Pennsylvania.
If your facility is within roughly 150 miles of Lewes, we've almost certainly done work in the area. Outside that radius, we'll tell you honestly whether a remote engagement makes sense — and if it doesn't, we'll say so too.

Skeptical of consultants? Good — talk to us anyway.
Twenty minutes, free, no follow-up pressure. If we can't explain in plain terms what we'd measure and why, you haven't lost anything but a phone call.
